Inheriting the page and current design goals[edit]

Since this class is abandoned in an unfinished state, I'll take it upon myself to change it and manage to make something that takes minecraft concepts of crafting and mining for materials and make it into a coherent 5e class. This will include some removing of current mechanics (like the Hunger Points mechanic, and simplifying the crafting recipes). So sorry Benjamin or Jay1p, or the half a dozen of you other contributors, if you ever come back and want to finish building on its current state we can work out making the pages into two variants.

For now I'll focus on removing a lot of faff that's just "Playing with yourself at the table", make the features more 5e design friendly and easier to use in a real game, and making it more clear how this class can interact with a typical 5e world. This means that some corners will be cut in the "mechanically translating minecraft mechanics" side of the class, sorry. The mining, crafting, and the inventory management will stay though, I think those are the base of the class's identity. --vladulenta (talk) 20:56, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
