Talk:Mercenary Mage (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Firstly, there are too many spells prepared. A wizard (or creature that uses the wizard spell list) can prepare a number of spells of 1st level or higher that they have spell slots for equal to their level + their Intelligence modifier (9 in this case; level 6 + Intelligence modifier +3). This has 11 spells.
Also, thematically, couldn't you just use the mage statistics, altering spells as appropriate? SirSprinkles (talk) 01:17, 25 February 2017 (MST)
- The number of prepared spells has been fixed. Other changes were made to make it different enough from the mage, and those changes made it fit its intended flavor better anyway. Hopefully that leaves it with a passing grade. Thanks for pointing out the flaws. --Guy (talk) 22:20, 26 February 2017 (MST)
