Quick Notes[edit]

If this is a ranged touch attack, then there shouldn't be a save. If this is not a ranged touch attack, we should change the save(DC plus character level usually works). However, it should probably be a ranged touch attack. As it stands, a first level halfling rogue with 16 DEX would pass the current DC three out of four times. Also, you have "ready" a missile a standard action, and throw an "attack action". There is no such thing as an "attack action", attacks are made with a "standard action". That means readying and throwing takes your attacks from two rounds to use. If we drop "ready" to a move action, and "throw" is made a standard action you can do this in a single round, which is nicer. --Badger 17:56, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

-- Fair enough. I get the feeling that this one might be accepted better, but it's still pretty gross. What's your prediction? --PokeDM

Five Hours[edit]

Somebody posted a little notice on the page saying that 5 hours is too long... if anything it is to short. It generally takes around 12 hours for food to pass completely through your system and come out as dung, sometimes it even takes up to 15 hours. Whoever posted this notice did not do their research. :)--Vrail 23:20, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Well, now I have proof that my mother's cooking is bad for my digestive system. --PokeDM
But on a more serious tone, he might have a point. Goblins are pretty smelly creatures, so I'd imagine their food can't be all that good... How long would it take for something virtually devoid of anything useful be passed along? I know it only takes a little bit for some twinkies to go through my works.
Whoever posted this does have a point, however still has a lack of research. Normally it could take up to 15 hours for something to pass through your system, so something devoid of nutrients would take less time... 5-7 hours at least. So whoever posted this is still wrong, but the normal article is now right. Oh, and about the twinky thing, how do you know it was the twinky, did you analyze it? Most of the time your dung is being pooped out from yesterdays meal, so taking that crap a few hours after having a twinky, it was probably just coincidence. :)--Vrail 02:54, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Meh, maybe. I just realized something, though. This whole if you have eaten in the past five hours thing can actually be used as a loophole to eat a sandwich in combat and fling it at someone one round later, since it was within the past five hours. So, this, in turn can create a pretty scary opponent as they constantly blind you. So, in a way, the article and the guy are wrong, since it takes much longer than a round to digest something, and now it's way too short. --PokeDM
Very true, and thats actually what I was going to bring up next. Yes, it may be funny eating a sandwich in combat then being able to use it as a weapon only 1 round later, that can be a little over powered and quite unrealistic. So to get around this, but still have this fun, we could put 1-5 hours after you've eaten, and it can only be used once for every meal you have had. Sound more fair?--Vrail 16:40, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
I think that little notice is that the string containing our feat summary is too long to appear in full on the page where feat summaries are displayed. We should cut it down so it appears on the table. Does anyone know a way to make one summary for the big feat table, and another one for displaying on the page? Also, I think the discussion this prompted is probably good though. 1-5 hours seems like a way to make this more realistic. --Badger 20:42, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
I think I can figure it out, I'll test out a couple things and get back to you guys.--Vrail 20:57, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I figured it out but for some reason the summary will not show up now! grrrrr... I'll play around with it some more.--Vrail 21:17, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
