Talk:Mako soldier (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
- What happens if you lose your buster sword, or it is destroyed?
- Since this class's main feature is the buster sword... Isn't it practically unplayable if you don't have 15 Strength? That's kind of a tall order. I personally think that limit should be removed, but otherwise why not at least lower it to 13 Strength? That's the standard ability score requirement for 5e stuff.
- This class feels unfinished. There are many empty levels (that is, levels where you gain no class features), which something 5e classes strive to avoid. It seems like it should make use of Template:Stub, but I'm not entirely sure.
- Aside from that, some of the numbers seem like they could be crunched a little better. The one thing most obvious to me is the AC achievable by the escutcheon archetype. At 11th level, it's effectively 11 + Str mod + Dex mod + Int mod, which can be exceedingly high. At 13th level, an escutcheon can use its reaction every turn to negate the damage from almost any attack which does manage to hit through its immense AC. There's a few other examples and exploits... but overall I think features here just need more careful consideration. - Guy (talk) 22:24, 14 July 2017 (MDT)
