Talk:Magic Medic (3.5e Class)
Rating - 7.5/10[edit]
Masterful. I would vote this 7.5 out of 10 for basic reasons....It is kinds self explanitory. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.15.110.179 (talk • contribs) 15:54, 17 November 2007 (MDT). Please sign your posts.

Rating and Criticism[edit]
This class looks pretty good, like a pacifist cleric/paladin cross. Few issues though. The alignment restriction makes no sense in the face of the medic's ability to choose an evil domain if they happen to be evil, which they can't. One or the other, not both. I dislike D&D's objective morality system, and would prefer it if the alignment restrictions were dropped, instead of the ability for a medic be a somewhat unpleasant person. There are medics on both sides of a conflict, afterall. I would rate it 8/10, probably 5/5 in power, but 3/5 for flavour, as the alignment issues are jarring. What if a unambiguously evil medic who follows Hextor needs to get a champion of Hextor back on his feet, and helps him gladly, is that considered a violation of his vows? It seems a little silly to consider it, but even objective evil would not be stupid enough (in most cases) to not take advantage of healing magic where it exists, yet healing is considered a good action for whatever reason. The only ways I can see to rectify this would be to allow medics to be of either of any alignment, which still has problems, or make them effectively impartial in conflict, aiding whoever has need of their services.
- same note as Dred necro's, and hexblades can't be good. this is giving the HEALER class from ini's a boost to actually be useful. For your example of Hextor, its because Hextor doesn't offer the healing domain. His clerics would rather fight in the spirit of hextor than heal. WWHD? he wouldn't heal some one, he'd beat the SH%T outta them :P--Name Violation 04:10, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Rating[edit]
Power - 1/5 I give this class a 1 out of 5 because it's like a cleric (Which is already overpowered) but its better at casting spells and gets an extra domain. --24.63.225.190 09:20, 30 December 2012 (MST)
Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because its worded correctly --24.63.225.190 09:20, 30 December 2012 (MST)
