What does this ability mean/do? Guard Starting 1st level, your proficiency in shields double.

Whoops. It was originally meant to be something of an expertise, but it doesn't make much sense for shields. Changed it.--Yanied (talk) 07:19, 8 January 2020 (MST)

How is this class supposed to deal damage? No spells, no extra attack, no inherent damage increase. Past 5th level they won’t be able to kill anything.

Hmm, that is a good point. It is very specialized around controlling magic users. For now I have added a bonus to try and help that.--Yanied (talk) 21:10, 11 July 2021 (MDT)

I believe the bonus you added would be great along with the Extra Attack feature at 5th level. Nobody should complain about a non-spellcaster having 2 attacks considering Barbarians get a damage bonus against everything and 2 attacks, while yours is a very specific bonus with only one. Against a giant non-magical beast, at least the Mage Hunter can still get two swipes in a round.

That is a fair point for a specialized class to be able to do something.--Yanied (talk) 20:23, 23 July 2021 (MDT)
