Talk:Lich Paragon (3.5e Racial Paragon Class)
From D&D Wiki
Power[edit]
I like this. It makes me happy. However.... Unholy Toughness, bless its corrupt black heart, is very strong (so is the artifact phylactery, but less so). With relatively easy pre-reqs of just being a lich, are you sure you'd want to give delicious delicious hp to the liches like that?
In any case, I know what Evo's gonna become. :D -- Eiji 19:59, 26 April 2009 (MDT)
- This is Surgo, whose computer is currently drying off from a flood in my room. I feel as though Unholy Toughness isn't just strong, but required. A d12 hit die from being undead really is worse than having wizard hit dice and an actual constitution modifier, and even with d12 a level you're really not doing so hot when you don't have a constitution bonus. So, yeah, it's strong. But I think it's better than the alternative, which is having the (relative) hit points of a metaphorical flea. Surgo 22:05, 26 April 2009 (MDT)
exactly what i need[edit]
I was already going to have a lich as a MAJOR part of my next campaign. Now I'm going to have is phylactery be an immovable rod located JUST out of reach of the characters.
Also the Alternate Form ability will help with another part of the story where the lich was one of the people they have been getting advice from the whole time.
