Talk:Lethal Weapons (5e Spell)

A few things immediately noticeable with this spell: The spells higher name and lower name are different, they should match. Plus, Lethal is spelled incorrectly. The spells material component isn't listed, that needs to have something written otherwise it's impossible to meet the casting requirements. The spells wording needs touching up to provide clarity. As it is, it promotes confusion as to what "makes your weapon more of what it is" means, is it more of a sword? And the "when cast your weapon" can be interpenetrated as casting your weapon, not casting the spell. As a 2nd level spell (and even spells of any level), the -vast- majority of damaging over time spells have concentration as a balancing mechanic applied to their duration. This spell would fit that ideal, and even for the short duration should have concentration applied, especially since without it you can cast this spell twice, cast a bonus action buff damage spell (hunters mark/hex/paladin smites), and trigger them all with attacks / cantrips for incredible damage combos, which breaks the balance of power.--Kahz (talk) 01:34, 9 October 2016 (MDT)

"The effects of the same spell cast multiple times don't combine," as declared in the Player's Handbook page 205. You're right about everything else, though. It isn't my spell, but I've edited it so that it should be alright now. — Guy (talk | edits) 12:19, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
