Talk:Knight of the Fey (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
From what I understand, it seems like the "Feysense" feature is effectively unusable at level 1 as per written, despite being gained at this level, given that its uses are one's level rounded down, which would be zero. Assuming this is a mistake; I think it should perhaps be readjusted or specified that it may have a minimum of one usage per long rest?--Bhalandros (talk) 23:04, 30 November 2021 (MST)
- Good eye. I forgot to add a parenthesis stating that you have a minimum of 1 use. I'll fix that. Anastacio (talk) 06:22, 1 December 2021 (MST)
- Glad I could help. That said─ I'm left a bit confused with some parts of the page here and there, but I really don't like butting in with unsolicited edits unless it's something really clear like an obvious typo (I don't like assuming what the writer's intent was), so I'll state them here as I see them if you don't mind, unless you'd be okay with me making the edits directly in which case please state so. Firstly, the "Quick Build" part recommends one picks "chainmail and a shield", which leads me to believe this is an intended option, but the "Equipment" part leaves it somewhat shaky; on my first reading I was under the impression one was supposed to choose between "(a) chain mail" OR "(b) scalemail and a shield" though a re-reading of the quick build guide threw me off. Secondly the bag of fairy dust links to a component pouch. Is this meant to imply this is all this class needs as spell components? I hadn't seen a bag of fairy dust being used as a component pouch before. Those two confusions aside; I do have some observations to provide as well, although I'm very much not experienced with balance I feel like the sprite's Shortbow action might be a tad strong for a Familiar? That, and perhaps some more variety of spells should be considered. For one I found it somewhat odd that the class is lacking speak with animals but has speak with plants, for some reason. Just some suggestions I had in mind while reading, sorry my message sort of fanned out of control.--Bhalandros (talk) 21:30, 1 December 2021 (MST)
