Talk:Jackalfolk (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Dark vision is worded incorrectly, as it sits it has no real mechanical effect. There's a template for it on the wiki, but the syntax is dumb and I can't remember it.
The Desert Is Your Home has a similar problem, in that its wording does nothing mechanical. This trait could just be rolled up into their flavor text as it is.
Beware the Shifting Sands is an innate reskinned spell then? Perhaps giving it a bit more descriptive detail and then following it with, "functions as Ensnaring Strike" would more clearly describe the idea.
I'm wary of the sensory advantage... But in the current state, all of the other traits are just ribbons, so I guess it's fine-ish. --Kydo (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2017 (MST)
- You are right. I just read the titles and did not read it for the rules as written. What do you think about it now? The sensory advantages may still need to be tweaked, since I just listed a few skills which I thought would work well for this ability. For the other ones, I gave them mechanical effects. --Green Dragon (talk) 10:20, 24 January 2017 (MST)
