Preservation Discussion[edit]
While this build was an earlier version of the All skill proficiency build, it isn't as update nor as expansive as that build. If this wants to be the page of the two to survive, this needs to be updated. Not against removing that page if that becomes the case. As it is, this build has been fully preserved on that page and I have adjusted the anonymous users naming and text to perfectly reflect this articles. Your build will be preserved, the only question is if it will have it's own page. Check out the All Skill Proficiency page to see what I mean. ZaneOlric (talk) 09:37, 3 November 2019 (MST)
- Hello! So reading through things I think the issue is that the first guy was very rude in how he stated things. He didn’t even create a discussion page for it! Also, combining the pages shouldn’t be about “repetition” (because this build is unique and different than that other one). Instead, they should be combined so people can find it easier! Like, if someone has to sort through a list of 50 builds or a list of 100 builds, their way more likely to find what they like in the smaller list right? Plus the ZaneOlric dude coppied this build verbatim over, something the first jerk didn’t do. Hope that helps? I reworded the reason given for deletion to reflect that better, though I totally get if the creators still ticked. That first guy was really rude. Plus, fusing pages doesn’t seem totally necessary to me, just something nice that should be done for abandoned builds, not active creations like this one. Edit: forgot to sign haha 99.203.12.249 12:12, 3 November 2019 (MST)
- Sorry, I’m making like a bajilion edits. I thought maybe it would help if we gave the creator credit as well? I’m gonna go add this guys name on the other page so people know it’s his build. That seems like the right thing to do when combining pages, not just forgetting about the people who worked hard on awesome content like this! 99.203.12.249 12:18, 3 November 2019 (MST)
- Use {{merge}} for situations where pages need to be fused together. Obviously we welcome variants, but they need to be correctly listed as variants. --Green Dragon (talk) 09:33, 13 November 2019 (MST)
