Will Saves?[edit]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it make more sense for a beggar-type to have a good Fort save, since he should be getting food from rather questionable places?--Ddragon Necrophades 22:58, 16 November 2008 (MST)

hmm, thats a good point, he'd have to be fighting off poisons a lot, which more often than not require fotitude saves than will saves, I guess I hadn't thought that through entirely, this being more of a joke class than anything, but what do you think so far for a joke class? Rith 23:13, 16 November 2008 (MST)
Truthfully? Just like the barkeeper, this is a joke class that I might actually consider using. If only because it's funny as hell to have benefits attached to being a hobo.--Ddragon Necrophades 00:18, 17 November 2008 (MST)
Yeah, I personally think it would be hilarious for the PC's to get angry at a drunk hobo and wind up getting beat into a bloody pulp by said hobo :D Rith 13:02, 17 November 2008 (MST)

IP Changes[edit]

Well, it has came to my attention that IP 76.118.172.205 has recently edited this class without my consent, I may have been taking some time to finalize this class, but I would like to ask that anyone who intends to add something to this class to please discuss it first on this page, I personally think that IP 76.118.172.205's idea was interesting, I just ask for them to please present the matter here before they edit the class in and of itself. → Rith 18:24, 27 November 2008 (MST)

You might want to change the 'Editing' entry from "feel free once it's done " to "please discuss before editing". That might head off some misunderstandings. --Ideasmith 08:19, 29 November 2008 (MST)
Yeah, sometimes I forget you can change that when you make a base class → Rith 17:06, 29 November 2008 (MST)

Rating[edit]

Flavor - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because although it is a joke class is certainly interesting and could be great fun in the hands of a skilled role player. I only gave it a four because I didn't think it had anything special that really put it over the top. --Jota 19:05, 25 January 2009 (MST)

Well, thank you very much, both for your rating and the compliment to my capabilities at making a class, though, might I ask why you only rated the flavor? (I'd like to hear your opinion of the other factors of the page too.) → Rith (talk) 19:25, 25 January 2009 (MST)
I did more of a skim/scan and the flavor was the only thing I felt comfortable rating at that time. I will definitely give it a full rating in time, when I can fully devote myself to it (a little busy at the moment). -- Jota 21:20, 25 January 2009 (MST)

Wording[edit]

Hey, this class is pretty cool. I noticed that whenever you were discussing the Hobo's abilities you said that opponents must "pass a Will throw." Isn't the correct wording "pass a Will save" or "make a Will save?" --  Tug   talk    contribs    email   17:42, 5 April 2009 (MDT)

Well, the correct term is "Will saving throw", but you're correct, that may need to be changed. → Rith (talk) 21:31, 5 April 2009 (MDT)
There are quite a few instances beyond what you fixed. If you want I can fix them to conform. --  Tug   talk    contribs    email   16:53, 6 April 2009 (MDT)
Sure, that'd be really helpful, thanks. → Rith (talk) 17:13, 6 April 2009 (MDT)

Rating[edit]

Power - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because if has great crowd control, but the DCs for its stench are too low for it to be effective. After 5th level, I was outclassed in combat by the party ranger (Didn't think that was possible). --Andreichekov 18:52, 19 November 2011 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because the flavor of this class is amazing. I love it. It fills all the requirements of making a DnD class, and it was amusing without becoming ridiculous. --Andreichekov 18:52, 19 November 2011 (MST)
