Seems a bit overpowered, no? Resistance to Necrotic or Fire along with 6d8 added damage on top of everything else, on ANY method of attack essentially beyond spells. Nerf it.
Take away the resistance, or for irony make it a given weakness instead.

Definitely nerf it. This looks more of a feat for D&D 3RD, and even then there would be level requirements or something.
