Talk:Hazmat Bodysuit (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
10+Dex is the norm for AC without armour, barring class or racial features that increase AC (Unarmored Defence, Dragon Sorceror etc.) How about including stats for an armoured variant with AC, because Piercing and Slashing damages are actually quite common, and a single point of either kind of damage completely nullifying an expensive suit really devalues it. I'd probably call this a suit of Medium Armour SirSprinkles (talk) 14:45, 12 March 2016 (MST)
- Sorry for this late response, apparently I was never notified that you responded. Anyway, my thought process is that this item would only be useful in a campaign with a heavy disease presence. That being the case, total immunity to ALL of them for an indefinite period of time strikes me as a heavy advantage. Having it be so prone to being destroyed makes it a very tactical decision to employ. A character will likely only use this to conduct research/humanitarian activities (Assuming a very role-play focused game) in heavily afflicted areas and not to enjoy a beefy advantage over others in a fight, because like you said, all it takes is a knick. I wanted it to be that way intentionally, but wasn't really sure how balance it out. Again, this was my though process, so perhaps you have some ideas on how to make the item better?
