This should be on D20 modern —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.25.138.222 (talk • contribs) 11:06, 16 May 2008 (MDT). Please sign your posts.
- It dosen't need to be in MSRD, WotC was thinking about putting guns into DnD, if you go to Todd Lockwoods web page, he's an artist for WotC he had the drawings for the guns, but they still arn't sure abot putting them in, the guns he drew are quite neat I might add.... --Kisame93 | Ryan B. 09:24, 26 May 2008 (MDT)
- not only that, but MSRD already has the gunslinger class. their version is probably better statistically but it is a different time setting. --Oddplume 03:36, 21 February 2009 (MST)
Rating[edit]
Power - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it seems to be an effective class that would be enjoyable to use, without being overpowered. --Rammenstein 14:28, 4 August 2008 (MDT)
Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because the various skills and abilities of the class were very well explained without being too complex and confusing. --Rammenstein 14:28, 4 August 2008 (MDT)
Formatting - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because there were very few formatting errors, mainly with italicization. --Rammenstein 14:28, 4 August 2008 (MDT)
Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because It is a type of class that many would enjoy using, and it would add a very enjoyable now element to any D&D game. --Rammenstein 14:28, 4 August 2008 (MDT)

Power - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 in terms of power; the class is balanced, specific to a type of combat; for a character who wants to do this sort of thing without going into a prestige class, you could replicate some, but not all, of its abilities with feat selection, but together the abilities work well without being overpowering. --Atypicaloracle 17:15, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Wording - 4/5 The wording is clear enough, and describes each ability well enough. The writing is largely bland and technical, which isn't really my sort of presentation, but it gets the material across. --Atypicaloracle 17:15, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Formatting - 4/5 Sections are missing, but they're nonessential, and any other issues are not serious enough to hamper one attempting to read the class or create such a character. --Atypicaloracle 17:15, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Flavor - 4/5 The inherent flavor of a well-presented fast-draw gunslinger for D&D is there, and is a cool concept. The presentation of this flavor is somewhat lacking; it's a bit like very tasty oatmeal. You know that it has delicious stuff in it, but it doesn't look very interesting at first glance. --Atypicaloracle 17:15, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Melee[edit]
Fire From The Hip (Ex): At 1st level, a gunslinger develops the ability to quickly draw and fire his pistols before his opponents can react. When first beginning a melee, the gunslinger may attempt a Sleight of Hand check against an opponent’s Sense Motive check. If the gunslinger wins the contest, he adds a +4 bonus to the attack roll for his first round’s attack(s).
"When first beginning a melee" - considering that this class is a ranged combat class, shouldn't this be combat rather than melee? Lolzords 14:45, 8 September 2010 (MDT)

Power - 2/5 I give this class a 2 out of 5 because this class is poorly designed. There are too many rogue-like abilities and without improving sneak attack, it helps nobody.--~~~~
Wording - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it is well worded and the only bad wording is in impromptu sneak attack. --~~~~
Formatting - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because formatting is great --~~~~
Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because the class is very flavoured and has some nifty ideas. --~~~~
