Talk:Golisopod (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Uhm, how is the image broken? It shows up fine for me, unless it's another problem. And as for emergency exit, it's probably the best way to show how they skedaddle in the face of danger. I mean, the second part about fleeing can be taken out I guess, but that defeats the idea of running away. Or maybe a part about removing the condition when your hit points have been regained can help balance it out?--Yanied (talk) 14:47, 19 August 2019 (MDT)
- sorry, I should have come here before making changes but oops. In the games, emergency exit only triggers once golisopod's hp is reduced below half ( technically every time it goes below half again if it somehow recovers hp ), this usually means it's a once per battle trigger. I also fixed the image, just a space. I hope the edits I made are understandable, as golisopod's ability is kinda like a tactical retreat. --PopsFortuitous (talk) 15:17, 19 August 2019 (MDT)
- that's fine. that's also a good idea. I was thinking we can get rid of the per long rest bit to make it so they aren't always unable to be frightened again like this, since the lore is that they are a bit cowardly. So while frightened, they're just immune to difficult terrain--Yanied (talk) 19:18, 19 August 2019 (MDT)
Emergency Exit is still too debilitating and forces players to run from combat consistently. Them being cowards is played up by the disadvantage against being frightened so maybe this should be actually beneficial in some way. For example, something like "When a creature moves within 5 feet of you, as a reaction you can move up to half your speed away from them." —ConcealedLight (talk) 23:27, 19 August 2019 (MDT)
