If the weapon is only 14 pounds, i don't see how a creature needs a 21 strength to wield it. 14 is not that much, even if it's all at the head of the axe. In fact, you'd be lucky if the shaft of the axe is less than 20 pounds. Grimeagle4 (talk) 17:03, 1 June 2016 (MDT)

To be fair, the greataxe in the PHB only weighs 7 pounds. I'm thinking there's a difference between being able to lift something easily and being able to swing something as accurately as you would a baseball bat (which, it turns out, only weighs about 2 pounds).
