Talk:Fey Bloodline (5e Subclass)
Your Feywalking ability is EXTREMELY powerful. Druids (Circle of the Land) do not gain access to this feature until level 6.

Thanks! I swapped it with Fey Presence, which was their level 6 feature, and made that one exactly like the Archfey Warlock's Level 1 Feature of the same name.

still seems a bit strong (3 abilities at level 1 instead of 2) (lots of things at level 18), and a bit mimic-y of other classes. hmm...
I'm looking at this and it seems like Sorcerers get about the least benefit from their Archetypes out of all the core classes, so that's the real problem here. I'm just going to make a bunch of assessments, and hope you don't get upset at me for the sheer number of them.
- Probably change "advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects" to "advantage on saving throws against being charmed" (much less powerful).
- Fey Blood is giving a bonus language, and essentially Speak with Animals at will, AND advantage against charm--I guess we can move that 18th level effect up to immunity to charm then.
- I'm assuming the expanded spell list is just an expansion of the spells available to be learned, so... it seems very important to the archetype.
- I'd probably get rid of the Fey Presence effect entirely. I really like the effect, and the feel that it creates, but it's really a choice in my mind between Fey Presence and Feyblood, and I just like the Feyblood better.
- Feystep: I'm going to get a bit out of hand on this one, as it's an idea I've had for a long time.
Feystep: Choose one of the following: plantlife, animal life, other life, Stone, water. During any movement action, you may choose to enter any surface of the chosen type (which is large enough to fit through) and exit from a surface of the the same type which is within 60 feet. For example, a Sorcerer who chose animal life could enter the body of any sufficiently large creature of the Beast type and exit through the body of another beast of the same species. Or a Sorcerer who chose Stone could enter a Granite wall to exit any other Granite surface within range. Once this ability has been used 5 times it may not be used again until the character completes a long or short rest.
I hope that description is clear (it's a more generalized, short range version of Tree Stride). I don't know if you'll like it or not, but I did want to share the idea.
Sorry if that was long. Entropicscholar (talk)
"Upon teleporting, you regain Hit Points equal to half your druid level" is an awful feature, as it is a class ability... tied to another class. At best, this feature regain 6 hit points... when your character level is 20.
