Talk:Fencer of the Kanahebi clan (3.5e Optimized Character Build)

Very Nice Build[edit]

The only drawback I can think of is its dependency on FOUR ability scores (five if you count Constitution, and honestly, which class shouldn't worry about their maximum hit points?) to truly shine. There's a nickname for a build requiring high stats in multiple areas (as opposed to only needing you sink most or all of your bonuses into one ability score, like a Wizard, Sorceror, or most Fighters), but that name escapes me.

Though I'm certain that beyond level ten, a character with this build ought to have at least 16 or 18 in each of Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Wisdom. By then you're looking at +12 or more bonus AC from ability scores alone (for comparison, normally you'd need a Dexterity score of 34... it ought to be much cheaper to raise multiple scores to even 20 each than one to 34), not to mention higher accuracy and damage potential.

Perhaps someone would like to explore exactly what scores and equipment one of these crocodile hunters (sorry I had to) could get their scaly mitts on over the course of their career? --71.114.210.152 02:26, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

They call that a MAD (Multiple Attribute Dependency) build.
