Talk:Fairy (4e Race)
From D&D Wiki
I've made significant changes since the race was simply not in a usable state. I've tried to keep the spirit of the original intact, let me know if there's a problem. Marasmusine 06:14, 7 April 2012 (MDT)
Hey Greendragon I don't see what your asking. They gave examples of Fairy adventurers. i don't see whats wrong with this page that makes you want to hide it away. I say that cause if you put a stub on a race it no long becomes visible on the list of races. >Dylan
- As the article currently is, the example adventurers add no lore, explanation, or background to the content of the race, they have no innate links to the race as adventurers. I don't think GD is trying to 'hide it away', putting a stub template on an article is standard if the article should be expanded on in some way. I don't think exclusion from the race list is too detrimental a loss, and though I can see how it could be annoying, the list is for articles that are completely finished. I hope I explained the matter of the situation well enough <3~ --SgtLion (talk) 12:48, 4 December 2013 (MST)
I'll see what I can do to spruce up the adventurers. It's not a great idea to keep reverting the site owner. Marasmusine (talk) 16:59, 4 December 2013 (MST)
Maybe we should use the essentials-style format for races, too. After the traits it goes something like: 1. Introductory section (background, history) 2. Physical Qualities 3. Attitudes and Beliefs 4. Fairy Communities 5. Fairy Adventurers - now this does not describe specific characters. It goes through each favoured class and describes generally why the race would take up that class. 6. Roleplaying a Fairy - Three or four key points (e.g. Elf is "Protect all that is good and beautiful", "Life is measured in years, not days", "The strongest sword is guided with wisdom, not might" and "Tales and Songs") with a little further explanation; then the usual Characteristics, Male Names and Female Names. Ah, know I see what GD was doing now that mara explained it a little more. I have an idea. >Dylan
- It works now. It was just that the adventurers could be anything really, but they have some content now which works. --Green Dragon (talk) 12:49, 5 December 2013 (MST)
You say that now before I added something too. Ah, oh well, I'm happy now. Thanks. >Dylan
