Why does the Elven Chamberlain speak Common, Gnomish, and not Elven? --Aldwynadain (talk) 11:14, 24 December 2015 (MST)
- Either a) the elf was raised amongst human nobility since birth, far from elven lands; or b) I forgot. Marasmusine (talk) 08:47, 25 January 2016 (MST)
Why is a 10th level spellcaster CR1/2? SirSprinkles (talk) 03:03, 9 March 2016 (MST)
- Per the guidelines in the DMG, CR is mostly based on a creature's combat capability. This creature's spells are mostly non-combatative. Hold person has the most utility, the higher level spells do not factor in. What does contribute to CR is the creature's spell DC, which I've made fairly low. This elf has a few too many spells prepared. According to the cleric rules, a cleric can prepare a number of spells equal to level + Wis mod (13 in this case, being 10th level, with a Wis mod of +3), but in reality, it has 15 spells. SirSprinkles (talk) 01:32, 4 October 2016 (MDT)
