Talk:Easily Distracted (3.5e Flaw)
From D&D Wiki
Could you clarify more about what you meant by a constant penalty rather than a save? I get what you're saying about "Currently, the flaw stands to be activated almost 100% of the time, given the text as written. While I do believe this merits a low DC, one that can be beaten without trying in most cases is hardly appropriate for a flaw", and I am interested in fixing this. --Great Ax (talk) 07:23, 8 September 2016 (MDT)
- Sorry for the late reply, and I realize you may not be party to this any longer, but for posterity's sake:
- A flaw is supposed to be a numerical, constant penalty, per UA's standards. Personally, I think they can be more than that, but the flaw was worded in such a way that the Save DC could be easily passed without trying by most characters (DC 5 is traditionally very low, and most characters have no issues passing a check like this). While the flaw is conditioned to happen so often that this isn't such a bad thing, I think that it'd be better represented by a modest penalty than by making the player constantly roll dice or avoid the penalty altogether with a mediocre base will save. --Jwguy (talk) 14:16, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
