Talk:Derro (4e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Seems to me that this race is quite under powered, even with the powerful encounter that gives it more of a false balance than actually equality compared to the usual races. --Aitharious (talk) 14:00, 6 July 2016 (MDT)
Derro as a PC race?[edit]
Aren't Derro supposed to be a evil race of psychopaths? Why would you need a PC race that is evil and insane. Aboleth11 17:36, 24 May 2009 (MDT)
- I suppose I'd have to answer your question with another question: why do you need any race? The derro are a race that some find interesting; they fill a niche (both flavor- and mechanic-wise) not occupied by any core race. Despite what Wizards seems to think, not everyone wants to play a good character all the time - sometimes it's more fun to burn the village down than to save it :P -- Dracomortis 17:53, 24 May 2009 (MDT)
- Also this is 4e, and the times have changed. No longer is any race or monster supposed to be universally bound by a singular alignment. Stereotypes are no longer the law. If your creative enough you can always fluff a particular race to have "exceptions to the rule" those few individuals that rise above their evil societies and become true heroes. 4e is a game about heroic fantasy adventurers, not the common dregs that fill the background. -- Sepsis 19:55, 24 May 2009 (MDT)
As unattributed tags are being slapped all over, does anyone know the image source? I came up with zilch on my source finder and I think a FA of all things should have the source as I'm adding images to all the 4e races. If you have the source, please add it to the image caption.
