Origins[edit]
None of this is original; it comes from pre-existing d&d sources. I didn't make this up myself. If there is a problem, let me know. Noname 09:12, 23 December 2007 (MST)
- So long as you are not copying it word for word. I think you should add Template: Copyright Disclaimer for the names though. The coding is: {{Copyright Disclaimer}}. You should add this to all of your pages that uses a great quantity of copyrighted words that are not part of the SRD or is based on copyrighted material (odd uses of "lolth" would be alright, probably, but basing a whole campaign setting on a book or writing an article on lolth would require a template unless you have direct permission). As I said: so long as you do not copy whole paragraphs of text, it is covered under the Free Use clause of copyright law. You just need to state it. Hense the disclaimer. --Sam Kay 09:48, 23 December 2007 (MST)
- Agreed. The information comes from wikipedia (wikipedia's pages WERE the pre-existing sources), and was probably alright for the original poster to put it there. Also, I did NOT get this information directly from a D&D book or official D&D website. Noname 16:54, 23 December 2007 (MST)
- I have removed the copyright disclaimer template since this information is from wikipedia and not from another source. Wikipedia information does not need a copyright disclaimer template since we use the same license as they do. --Green Dragon 17:35, 23 December 2007 (MST)
