Class Feature - Level comparison[edit]
Normally a Druid Archetype grants features only at levels 2, 6, 10, and 14. Circle of the Furies goes above and beyond that, using its Abjure the Beasts feature to completely remove some items of the standard druid and replace them.
The following features seem to follow the normal progression for a druid archetype.
Circle of the Furies | ||
---|---|---|
Level | Archetype Feature | |
2 | Bound to the Storm | |
Twist Elements | ||
6 | Vessel of the Storm | |
10 | Storm Ward | |
14 | Piercing Rage |
These features do not follow the normal progression for druid archetypes, but seem as though they are meant to replace normal druid features.
Abjure the Beasts | ||
---|---|---|
Sacrificed Features | Level | Replacement Features |
Wildshape | 2 | Bonus Cantrip |
Fury State | ||
??? | 4 | Aloft |
??? | 8 | Windfall |
??? | 12 | Windrider |
Beast Spells | 18 | ??? |
Archdruid | 20 | Unbridled |
I suggest that instead of the current lineup, there should be a 1 for 1 replacement of class features. for every 1 which is lost, the compensatory benefit should occur at the same level, so that the exchange is obvious.
If this does not work perfectly (which I expect it might not), simply placing the features under a single title and having an increase in effect over levels 2, 4, and 8 would also be appropriate (this mirrors the setup of wildshape and seems to match much more with what you already have. The change would mostly amount to a change in formatting and naming). --Entropicscholar (talk) 15:25, 28 December 2015 (MST)
