Talk:Chiss (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
So, I helped out with some formatting problems on this page, and added the native language of the chiss people. I recommend going to a name generator for chiss names, and remember to abbreviate them, as chiss do with their names while talking to beings who speak in Common. Formatting[edit]
thanks, firestarter and I picked out names from legends, including core names in ()
- I recommend getting rid of the picture, maybe finding a new one and copy the picture formatting from my corebot page but swapping in your link for the other one (I tried with your current link, but it didn't work), or just getting rid of the picture altogether and writing a description. I feel like it would work a lot better, and then your race will be finished.
- Oh, hey, another thing, if you need help making your user page, feel free to use mine as a guide to help flesh yours out. I have my stuff so well organized, someone can look at my stuff by category. Also, remember to sign your messages. Thank you for your time! - Ill type it in, and thanks again
On a glance[edit]
- This should be stubbed because the height and weight table is missing. This is often an issue because many people just outright delete it.(And fixed that!)
- Race names should not be capitalized, as per Help:When to Italicize and Capitalize guidelines (Fixed that!)
- Since this isn't your own idea, it needs a copyright disclaimer. And I see that there is still a bit of the numbering... keep that in mind if you're going to copy anything from the wookiepedia.(Fixed it!)
- Darkvision and cold damage resistance should be two separate traits. (True.)
- No race should really give expertise. That is strictly a class thing, as it builds on proficiency.(Missed that one.)
- You don't gain proficiency with a vehicle size in 5e. It's just a vehicle of either land or water usually. (Didn't catch that when I saw this page the first time.)
- Since this is SW, maybe slap a futuristic tag on it, since other settings don't always have "blaster" weapons. Or just simply state ranged weapon. Since all firearms are under that category. (Hmm. Star Wars terms.)
- Cheuhn is not a standard nor exotic language. Therefore, if you're going to include it, you must describe it more in detail and give examples. Otherwise, strike it.(Fixed that too!)--Yanied (talk) 07:54, 17 December 2019 (MST)

- Nice edits. If no one minds, I can re-add the old traits but just worded to 5e standard.--Yanied (talk) 09:37, 17 December 2019 (MST)
- You'd have to talk to Aria about that, I just made temporary edits to help out a touch. Flamestarter (talk) 11:41, 17 December 2019 (MST)Flamestarter
