Talk:Champions of the White (Campaign Seed)
From D&D Wiki
Wow[edit]
I have to say that I am very impressed with the amount of work and effort put into this campaign. I am a new DM and have put large amounts of story and detail into my adventure. With that saying, you have done tons more with it than I have. The story seems really good and well put. However, the whole "Gods" thing seems a little over played. Also, the Black Patheons' god powers seem really powerful and deadly, but I didn't like the God of Travel. Doesn't seem to sit well with me at all. That's the only thing that seemed a little bad. Good job. I like it a lot. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.161.198.204 (talk • contribs) 21:31, 20 September 2007 (MDT). Please sign your posts.
- Yeah, to be honest the whole Black Pantheon thing is based of the Ebberon gods, just given different names. I kinda of just picked six things I thought would be evil and tried to fit those Ebberon gods where they would fit. They only one that didn't work was the Traveler. So I forget what evil I got rid of to put him in, but I did want to put him in. I always saw the Traveler as my favorite vilian is some of Stephan King's books: Randall Flagg. If you know RF like I do, you would hesitate to say he doesn't belong in a pantheon of evil gods. I did try to hit the gods a lot, but I want it to be a truly epic campaign that will take the players forever to end. I know that can happen with any story, but I wanted to build a universe where the worlds could be fleshed out as I go. Don't think that gods will be hit on this hard in the actually campaign. I am actually working today on bringing back down to the mortal level. I wanted to build a grand background from which I could come in and build a campaign. What I personally like about this setup, is that I can come back to it anytime I want a new campaign. I already have a universe built and ready to go. A new campaign would only require me to flesh out a plane or two, built some backstory for them. I can use the same villians as last time if I want, I can go forward or reverse in time as I want, there are limitless camaign options from which I can branch out from, from what I have hear. I do appreciate your feedback though and hope others will come check my writings out for me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CaptainWeed096 (talk • contribs) 09:53, 22 September 2007 (MDT).
