Talk:Brain of Cthulhu (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Would like some advice on how to implement the creeper mechanics. In the game, the brain is invulnerable until they all die, but that's mostly because its in a relatively small location and confined to two dimensions, which makes it much easier to whale on constantly with piercing weapons or other cheesy strategies. Since DnD has a more in-depth system for determining hits and misses, I think it might make more sense to give it a bonus to AC or have attacks against it have disadvantage while it has creepers nearby, or even just remove the mechanic entirely and trust the DM to use the creeper swarm as an effective meat shield.
Also, thinking about giving it tentacle attacks for melee, since it has four little wavy tendril things on its sprite. Might be too similar to the elder brain though. --Bigboymemezone (talk) 21:06, 5 November 2020 (MST)
