Use of Tables[edit]
Is it possible to combine the 4 pages into one page and use a table for the benefits and rarity, similar to Belt of Giant Strength?BigShotFancyMan (talk) 12:45, 6 August 2018 (MDT)
I don't think so. I would've liked to do something like that, since I modeled the system after the Potions of Healing which also work like that, but magical items here require a single rarity in there metadata, and it then places them in that category with other items of the same rarity. I don't if the way this wiki is setup is designed to handle items like that. --Beowulf-senpai (talk) 18:19, 6 August 2018 (MDT)
Update The way this wiki handles those specific items (Belt of Giant Strength, and Potion of Healing), it seems, is to mark them as their lowest rarity, and specify the other rarities in the page, saying "rarity varies" in the thing. I don't like that solution, but if that's the way it's done so be it; I don't know, however, to mark it as "rarity varies" while also telling which category to put it in. --Beowulf-senpai (talk) 18:25, 6 August 2018 (MDT)
Update I did it the way they did, but now it doesn't show up when sorting magic items by rarity. If anyone knows the best way to do this, let me know. --Beowulf-senpai (talk) 19:32, 6 August 2018 (MDT)
- I'll see if I can't find some help. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 06:43, 7 August 2018 (MDT)
- I have added the appropriate categories to the item so it should show up in lists now when sorting by rarity of a magical item.--Blobby383b (talk) 08:52, 7 August 2018 (MDT)
- Thanks for the help Blobby. I should have known that was the fix based on other discussions we had. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 11:30, 7 August 2018 (MDT)
- Thanks Blobby! I'll be sure to remember that if I ever make an item like this again! --Beowulf-senpai (talk) 14:05, 7 August 2018 (MDT)
