Talk:Bonesaw (5e Equipment)

Wouldn't this be an improvised weapon? Marasmusine (talk) 16:29, 20 September 2015 (MDT)
Also, should a simple weapon be both cheaper and stronger than an existing martial weapon (the scimitar)? Knowlessman (talk) 01:03, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- If anything, though, yeah, a bonesaw should just be an improvised weapon that serves as a scimitar; it has a different kind of blade, but the basic wielding would be either the same or close enough, I think. Knowlessman (talk) 01:06, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I've changed it to a normal piece of equipment. Also changed weight from 8 lb to 2 lb. Marasmusine (talk) 08:33, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
...This is, again, a strictly-better scimitar that costs less. What the hell. Knowlessman (talk) 09:23, 27 April 2018 (MDT)
...How in the blinking blinding buggering bloody blue blazes do you change the tarnated stats on this stupid-ass weapon? Knowlessman (talk) 09:26, 27 April 2018 (MDT)
- Idk, how you turn an ok piece of adventuring gear into a overpowered weapon.--Blobby383b (talk) 09:28, 27 April 2018 (MDT)
- It's still an improvised weapon. We shouldn't have a page for every conceivable improvised weapon on the wiki. I would argue we shouldn't have any improvised weapon page. The core books makes it clear that the DM can say on the fly "Okay, you grab the X, treat it as a Y. You do/don't get your proficiency bonus." Marasmusine (talk) 13:39, 27 April 2018 (MDT)
...I really don't think I care about this thing any more. IMO, either make it a magic item or cut it, because it makes no sense otherwise. Knowlessman (talk) 22:56, 26 December 2018 (MST)
