Talk:Bladed Boomerang (5e Equipment)

Balance[edit]
Firstly, I have no doubt that a weapon with the current statistics (1d6 damage, thrown/returning, finesse, and light) should either be a martial weapon or a common magic weapon, instead of a mere simple weapon. I would argue a whirling bladed projectile wouldn't be that simple and easy to use and catch, anyway.
For comparison, the throwing glaive—which is a martial weapon—is bordering on too powerful, as it is effectively a scimitar that also has the thrown and returning properties.
Right now, the bladed boomerang is effectively a throwing glaive that has also has longer range and but costs only 1/5th as much. - Guy (talk) 05:32, 2 December 2017 (MST)
Shouldn't this weapon go under the simple ranged weapon catgory given it's primary method of attack is throwing it? PunnyDM12 (talk) 00:29, 22 November 2018 (MST)
