Talk:Black Mage (5e Class)
If you're going to use a spell point system, why not use the spell point system? (DMG p. 288) Marasmusine (talk) 16:03, 7 March 2016 (MST)

- This class has several empty levels. The traits might need shuffling around; I recommend moving things to even-numbered levels to mimic the wizard, as odd-numbered levels are when full casters get a new spell level. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 19:36, 28 July 2017 (MDT)
- I have moved around a few features to better fit the class. Also, do you have any other comments about the class? I have done a lot of work on the class and would like someone else's opinion on the class in general.--Blobby383b (talk) 11:08, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- I like it a lot; I haven't taken an in-depth look at it, but nothing seems flagrantly out of balance from the initial look I took at it. Also, level 18 is still empty. Edit: also, the multiclass prereq should be 13 Int, not 15, to match the other classes.— Geodude671 (talk | contribs) . . 11:14, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
- Multiclassing prerequisites just have to be a odd number just so you know. They could be 11, 13, or 15 and probably shouldn't be 17 or 19 because of the prerequisites being too high for multiclassing. As for 18th level, I could think of something else to add there.--Blobby383b (talk) 11:33, 29 July 2017 (MDT)
Specialization[edit]
The Specialization says you gain a feature at levels 2, 7, 12, and 20. You have one at level 11 instead of 12 because of the ASI, presumably just a typo, but there is one at level 14 on the table which is nowhere to be found. There is no feature written for level 14 in the core class or any subclass. --GD-Psycho (talk) 15:11, 27 December 2018 (MST)
EDIT[edit]
I see that one ability per subclass gets upgraded at level 14, but that is not obvious. I think a general clean-up would fix a lot here.
