I understand this point, but I am afraid you misread it. It is not out of a d20 for the insta-kill. It is a d100. On a 100 of a d100, it's an insta-kill, and the number needed is reduced by your constitution modifier. At max, that would be a 95-100, which is a 5% chance, not a 1/20th chance, or 20%.

Sorry, but i didn't misread. 100/5 = 20 and 20/1 = 20, which means that both situations have the same probability. If you have 5% chance of doing something, you have 1 chance in 20 of that happening. You need to convert fractions into percentages. Anastacio (talk) 08:01, 22 February 2021 (MST)
