hi there. assassin is a core dnd prestige class, afaik, so why are you coming up with stupid assassins creed? "assassin" should refer to the DnD-assassin. if you don't know these, go play any campaign of any NWN game. abort this mission, for god's sake. --146.70.89.69 20:30, 7 October 2023 (MDT)

Hi! This may come as a surprise to you but people can have interests outside of DnD. I had already played the assassin subclass 3 times in 5e before I started DMing myself and I had a hyperfixation on AC at the time, so I tried my hand at a little homebrew and created a semi balanced class that could also be built into someone else's own world of DnD if they too had a deep appreciation for DnD and AC like myself. I'm sorry you're so butthurt over someone trying to express their artistic side. I hope one day you can find a little peace in your heart for this obviously harmless crime against made up laws in your head. Have a nice day! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DeathFromAbov66 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.

Some questions[edit]

Yo! Love the homebrew. Just one question: whats the throwing knives damage? Is it just base dagger damage or something else, considering its just a 'throwable'? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ArcjerzForDayz (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.

Hi(thank you, it's nice to hear some positive feedback for a change instead of receiving emails that someone had effed with the final product without asking), the throwing knives are pretty much the simple ranged melee weapon, darts, but reflavoured. Same damage as a dagger but much lighter, arguably cheaper(depends if you want to make a story element of it by making them guild forged and therefore more expensive than conventional darts but with magic dmg to overcome resistance etc) and can only be used a throwable. I think I said I've said it a few times in the document but I wanted to keep it as accurate to the game as possible. Thank you for picking up on this though. I will be sure to make the appropriate edits for future clarification —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DeathFromAbov66 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.

Starting Weapon[edit]

Yoyo, love yor homebrew class. There is only one question: What about a starting weapon, maybe I have overseen it, but as I see there is none. Wouldn‘t it be more useful to start with a shortsword? It would even be accurate, since the Player starts with one in the game. But all in all, great job m8, thx for this class :)

Hey, Thank you very much!

Yes, at the beginning, you do start off playing Altair with weapons but if you remember correctly, you do something wrong and the head of the assassin's guild demotes you back down to an entry level Novice. The Novice starts with no weapons and specialises in info gathering, sneaking and evading authorities and that was an inbuilt tutorial to learn key basics of the game until you're ready for the big leagues where you will be entrusted with taking life in the name of the guild and its ideology. You do bring up a valid point though in my homebrew. All classes do come with proficiency in unarmed strikes, so perhaps I need to allow something similar to the monk with d4s for damage and dex instead of str in the interogation feature at level 2 and include synergy with higher level features like combos or advanced throws/stuns etc. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will make revise and make some amendments.

Hello! Amendments made and synergy applied

Yeah I realised right after I started playing it again. But I think it's actually pretty cool to play without weapon at first :) But I have 2 questions: 1. What do the Specialised Boots do? 2. Since there are only 5 Skills for expertise, from which feats the player can choose? Rouge?
