Talk:Archer (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
Okay, so I reworked all of the class features and other class traits. I still have tweaking planned for them, but I'm really excited about reworking the Archetypes too! Special thanks and BIG shoutout to Geodude for restoring this class!! It was one of my favorites before its deletion!

- Besides the subclasses, the class itself should be more balanced now(though all its combat focused feature may still make the class too powerful). Even then, the class is sorely lacking in features that are not focuses on combat, see The Three Pillars of Adventure (5e Guideline).--Blobby383b (talk) 06:17, 23 February 2018 (MST)
- I know it's sorely lacking in those pillars of adventure. That's why the Work In Progress template hasn't been removed. I'm reworking this class from the ground up with that in mind. Don't worry! :) EpicBoss99 (talk) 09:54, 23 February 2018 (MST)
- I will be reverting the changes to fighting styles since it is more balanced to have it than to not have it. Fighting styles are more balanced because you can not stack their benefits by multiclassing for example taking 3 levels in this class and gaining the archery fighting style from another class gives you +4 bonus to your attack rolls and +2 bonus to your damage rolls with your changes. It is simply more balanced to leave the fighting styles in and balance the class accordingly.--Blobby383b (talk) 12:46, 23 February 2018 (MST)
- What if I were to take away multiclassing? I want to keep my idea with the Archery Points because I don't like to use fighting styles, mainly because they're already found in a ton of homebrew and core classes already. EpicBoss99 (talk) 13:02, 23 February 2018 (MST)
- You can't take away the multiclassing, and they are used because they are more balanced to use that other bonuses that stack with it. The bonuses from archery points was frankly extremely unbalanced. A +2 bonus to damage rolls or attack rolls is powerful enough to warrant its own feature yet the feature provided more than that to both attack and damage rolls.--Blobby383b (talk) 13:18, 23 February 2018 (MST)
