You don't need to state the DC for examining bones. This is set by the DM. Marasmusine (talk) 16:58, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Please don't delete it. I love archaeologists. --Redrum 14:15, 9 February 2018 (MST)
The page doesn't necessarily have to be deleted. If you want to save it, you can complete it! :D EpicBoss99 (talk) 14:34, 9 February 2018 (MST)

Hiya, I don't really do much stuff on this website but use some of the classes. I have a few suggestions: The Archeoligist could have a cool lvl 1 ability where he has a bunch more languages, like = to his INT mod or something. Also he should be able to cast spells he can read like off of walls or manuscripts, ect. He should have advantage on any checks made while studying man made objects. His combat ability doesn't really make sense, so I just turned it into when he studies bones, he can learn based off of an INT check the race, age, injuries and if it was an important person, like a king. I also did a thing where he can "Consult the Bones" where he can reroll any roll 1/day, so long as he has a set of bone dice. Lastly, he has advantage on all INT and WIS checks while inside of an underground man made suburbs or something.

Some notes[edit]

With Expansive Lore it doesn't actually say what benefits it gives. I'm assuming that it is supposed to give you advantage on history checks with that civilization.

With Studious Examination, its power is very dependent on your DM as it depends on what creatures bodies they say you have found and it can be very imbalanced as you can find powerful creatures or you could find no worthwhile creatures, also it is not very good in a roleplaying angle because many creatures attacks are because they have certain body parts that you don't have or are magical and so it would be weird if you can use those attacks.

With Dig Deep it only has a 1 in 4 chances of working but it seems to be the intended action in combat so on average you will do nothing 4 out of 5 rounds and wouldn't be surprised to sometimes do nothing for 6, 7 or more rounds. Which is really bad because it would make the player really bored.

With All Nighter what would be half the normal benefit to regain all spellslots after a long rest among other things? Give the feature other benefits.

My suggestion would be to add features based on that Archaeologist; dig often, work in uncivilized places, gain lots of information from hints and clues and deal with ancient things.

Those are the most obvious things, there are other smaller issues. If you want I can help coming up with ideas for features. Babosa (talk) 21:22, 6 November 2018 (MST)
