Elven Alcohol Tolerance[edit]
Why do elves have such high tolerance? I think that should be lowered. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 130.85.243.243 (talk • contribs) 21:59, 29 March 2007 (MST). Please sign your posts.
- I think it may be partly because in LotR elves can drink more than dwarves. I, however, also think that elves should not have such a high tolerace. Anyway, what would you recommend the elven alcohol tolerance be changed to? --Green Dragon 13:47, 5 April 2007 (MDT)
- Dwarves are the real drunkards. Their tolerance should be replaced with the elves. --Xdeletedx 17:52, 25 February 2008 (MST)
- I agree, feel free to change it :). --Green Dragon 23:18, 25 February 2008 (MST)
- The thing they haven't factored in is the fact that elves have tolerance to elven wine but an ale may make them more drunk. Also, dwarves drink dwarven ale but get affected by the wine more. --Sabre070 18:18, 25 November 2008 (MST)
- I added in that elves resist elven drinks and dwarves resist dwarven drinks. I hope that's ok. [Signed by Cataru]
Name[edit]
Should this be called just "Alcohol (DnD Variant Rule)"? I think "Alcohol Rules (DnD Variant Rule)" is a little redundant. What do you think? --Green Dragon 17:01, 10 April 2007 (MDT)
- Something like that, anything without the word 'rule' in it. --Sabre070 18:18, 25 November 2008 (MST)
Props[edit]
I give you a full round of applause for mentioning the weak ales, since in medieval times it was true that people would drink slightly alcoholic beverages because alcohol kills bacteria (they didn't know that, but it's true) which means the water can be safe to drink without getting sick. I tip my hat to you for your attention to detail
