Talk:Abomination (3.5e Prestige Class)

I like the class but a minor balance issue has me concerned. The acid damage scaling with level seems too powerful. Looking at the Monster manual most creatures with swallow whole only get at most 2d6+n Bludgeoning and 2d6 acid, so it turns out Pudge could probably digest you faster then a TARRASQUE could. It might be ok for the damage to still progress, but perhaps at a slower rate, say +1d6/every 2-3 levels. NPCs that get swallowed should have more of a chance to get out. --Faxn 09:56, 11 March 2011 (MST)

Adoption[edit]

Ehsteve, are you going to continue working on this, or would you be ok if I adopted it? --Aarnott 09:09, 17 June 2009 (MDT)

Well I started this a tiny while ago but lost steam but I'm pretty sure we can come to a 2 author compromise to keep the flavor straight --Ehsteve 17:34, 17 June 2009 (MDT)
Ok -- I was just planning on finishing this off (keeping with the spirit of the class), so it sounds like we are on the same page. I don't often get stuck to one idea, so feel free to revert or change any edits I make to this class. --Aarnott 11:17, 18 June 2009 (MDT)
I added in two abilities where you had listed something to come feel free to revert if it isn't to your liking. Sitri
Regeneration is not appropriate for PCs to have, pretty much ever. In addition, "light" and "energy" are not actual D&D damage types. As such, I'm reverting the edit. Dragon Child 19:35, 26 June 2009 (MDT)
While I have no clue or opinion on the changes that were reverted, regeneration is a rare but fine ability, provided nonlethal immunity cheese isn't had (but as I understand if you ever become immune it downgrades to fast healing). Mostly, it's available via the Toughness>Troll Blooded feat chain, usable by humans or anyone with a flaw/bonus feat. -- Eiji 20:14, 26 June 2009 (MDT)

Power - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it has an exellent mixture of nasty special abilities while it still remains a balanced and playable class --Volsheninov 15:02, 6 February 2011 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because the descriptions are gripping in thier foulness and seem not to have been written by the usual semi-illiterate prat --Volsheninov 15:02, 6 February 2011 (MST)

Keep up the amazing work !! Lovin' it!

NPC?[edit]

Is this a NPC prestige class?--209.97.85.48 13:09, 6 February 2016 (MST)

-- It would be best used as an NPC class. The powers and abilities of the class are enough to possibly even orient an entire campaign around. However, a DM is free to do whatever he wants in his campaign.
