Break into Sections[edit]

What would you think of breaking the Fighter Feats table into smaller sections for editing and browsing? For instance:

  • Melee attack
  • Ranged attack
  • Defense
  • Other

I like that idea... Would you like to do this, or would you prefer that I do it? --Green Dragon 20:29, 4 February 2007 (MST)
Oh, I suppose since it's my idea, I should probably do it. Besides, it will give me a chance to play with a new (for me) wiki format. :) --Cúthalion 10:54, 5 February 2007 (MST)
This is done. I'd recommend that someone who is comfortable doing so move each table to a separate page. --Cúthalion 13:08, 5 February 2007 (MST)
It would also be nice to break up the Melee Attack Feats further, if someone has a clever idea how to do so. --Cúthalion 13:11, 5 February 2007 (MST)
How do the separate pages look? Is this what you had in mind? --Green Dragon 20:23, 5 February 2007 (MST)
Yes, that's exactly what I had in mind. Thanks. --Cúthalion 12:35, 6 February 2007 (MST)
No problem. --Green Dragon 11:43, 7 February 2007 (MST)

Acrobatic Strike?[edit]

Why was Acrobatic Strike added back on to this list? The feat says it is only a General feat, or am I missing something? --Green Dragon 20:32, 4 February 2007 (MST)

That's me. The header to this page says, "Fighter feats are those that pertain to skill in martial combat." Acrobatic Strike obviously meets this criterion, and various other acrobatic feats are already here. I could only assume that leaving it out had been an oversight. I couldn't/wouldn't change the actual SRD, of course, but I figured this page is fair game. Sorry if that was inappropriate. Feel free to change it back if you like.
What prompted the change is I was looking for the description to Acrobatic Strike, which I had come across earlier. I navigated quickly to this page, and was startled to find it wasn't here. My first thought was that someone had deleted it. I eventually thought to look under General, but that made no sense to me. Cúthalion 10:45, 5 February 2007 (MST)
The header just says what all fighter feats have in common. It doesn't necessarily mean that every feat that fits that criteria is a fighter feat. Saying "all ducks are birds" is not the same as saying "All birds are ducks." To be a fighter feat, it must have the line in the "Special" section that says "A fighter can select XXXXX as one of his fighter bonus feats." Under 3.0 (under which some of the NBoF may have been produced), fighter feats had either instead (or in addition) the "[Fighter]" descriptor, but is no longer the case in 3.5. —Sledged (talk) 11:21, 5 February 2007 (MST)
So, this feat does not belong on this page, right? --Green Dragon 18:15, 5 February 2007 (MST)
Right. --EldritchNumen 18:27, 5 February 2007 (MST)
Done. --Green Dragon 19:46, 5 February 2007 (MST)

Double Entry[edit]

Both "riposte" and "agile riposte" are listed on the page, but they both link to the same entry. "Riposte" should be removed, the page deleted, etc... --EldritchNumen 18:32, 5 February 2007 (MST)

Done. --Green Dragon 19:49, 5 February 2007 (MST)
