Physical Description[edit]

Sylveon is a quadruped, mammalian pokémon covered with pale cream-colored fur with pink feet, ears, and tail. It has light blue eyes. Its long ears are fluffy and long like a rabbit, with blue interiors and thicker fur. They have a tiny nose, like that of a cats. They sport odd "bows" on their body, which is actually loops of their fine fur that have curled in a weird natural formation. Each bow is pale cream with a pink center and trails a pair of "ribbons." These appendages are actually feelers that are fully prehensile and can act as hands. Sylveon has slender legs with small, three-toed paws and a fluffy, slightly curved tail like that of a shiba inu.

History[edit]

Sylveon are eevee evolutions originally discovered in the Kalos region, but they can occur anywhere eevees live. They are sometimes called "fairy-touched" due to having certain characteristics of fairies. It is believed that when an eevee has had contact with fey and high levels of affection for someone, they slowly took on features of longer fur that grew into feelers, and their pigment changed. Sylveon are thus romanticized as a creature truly "born of love." Unlike most fey, however, sylveon is peace-loving and not the prankster type. They are known to wrap their feelers around that which they love most as a sign of affection, and are willing to fight to the death to protect it.

Sylveon are often fawned upon as a fashion choice for females despite having quite the reputation of being a powerful slayer of dragons. It is not exactly clear why but sylveon, having fairy properties, harbor an innate power to easily attack and pin down greater enemies like dragons. Perhaps it is because they are usually on the side of good, opposing that of evil dragons. Despite being small and usually pacifist, sylveon pack quite the punch. They are never afraid to tackle challenges larger than themselves. When they can, however, they use their feelers to try and send out good vibes and calm possible agitators. These same feelers are capable of wielding a greataxe with ease as hands might.

Society[edit]

Sylveon are almost never seen alone. If they are not with other pokemon in the wild, then they are likely with a trainer or someone whom they have affection for. They like to walk side by side, with their feelers wrapped around the other. They are prone to avoid conflict, but will fight if so necessary. Sylveon in the wild often gather with pokemon that are not of the eevee family, as they are often rarer. They sometimes mother other pokemon babies and guard them from danger. People still regard them as more cosmopolitan pokemon, as they do sometimes show vain tendencies and love to be clean. They are common favorites for pokemon showcases, contests and performances.

Sylveon Names[edit]

Sylveon, as their names imply, are sylvan creatures usually taking Sylvan names. They often have softer toned aliases and may take a last name from fairies instead of elves. Sometimes, if they fully convert to a lifestyle with another, they may change their name. For example, a sylveon in love with its human trainer goes to live in the city, it may take a name in Common or be given one.
