The swine-things are hideous beings that resemble anthropomorphic pigs. Swine-things stand as tall as a human and have white skin. Their face has a long snout and small black eyes that glister with an intelligence that betrays the swine-things' primitive appearance. The origin of the swine-things is unknown, but when they appear, the always seem to crawl from caves or chasms. From "The House on the Borderland", William Hope Hodgson, 1908 |
