Stinky is a condition. While you are stinky:

  • Any creature able to smell can detect your presence out to a range of 20 feet, but not necessarily pinpoint your location. Constructs, plants, oozes, and undead usually can't smell.
  • Any creature with advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to smell can pinpoint your location and "see" you as if with blindsight from up to 60 feet away.
  • You have disadvantage on Charisma checks made to positively influence any creature that can smell you.
  • Any creature that swallows you immediately regurgitates you.

You're no longer stinky if you become soaked, finish a long rest in a town or other civilized area, or otherwise become clean.
