Stained Half-Elf (5e Race Variant)

Half-Elf Variant

Stained half-elves are victims of an unfortunate magical effect that effects a small portion of half-elf births. The magical blood of an elf seems to manifest differently in them. Their hair resembles stained strands of various colors, from silver, red, green, and blue. Stained half-elves also usually have heterochromia eyes, and blush that is not the usual rosy pink. They command a good deal of control over magical powers due to their unique heritage.

This race variant replaces the Ability Score Increase and Skill Versatility traits. You gain a different Ability Score Increase and the Inborn Mage trait.

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2.

Inborn Magecraft. You are proficient in the Arcana skill. You can also cast the chromatic orb spell once, as a 1st-level spell. You regain the ability to cast chromatic orb in this way after you finish a long rest.
