Squire (3.5e Alternate Class Feature)
From D&D Wiki
Squire[edit]
Instead of having a shiny special mount, you took a young squire under your wing.
Class: Paladin and Paladin Variants, may also work with the Prestige Paladin
Level: 5th level
Replaces: If you select this class feature, you lose your Special Mount class feature.
Benefit: You gain a Squire; the squire acts almost exactly like a cohort with the following differences:
- You have a leadership score; this score however only determines the level of your squire.
- You may add half of your Paladin class level to your pseudo-leadership score.
- You do not gain any followers or cohorts aside from your squire.
- Your Squire will not leave as a cohort until he or she dies.
