In such a case, the spiny continues traveling in a straight line for the remainder of its movement or until it reflects off of another wall. REACTIONSShell Defense. In response to taking damage from an attack that deals bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, the spiny can immediately use its Shell Defense. |
Spinies are quadrupedal koopas somewhat similar in their appearance to buzzy beetles. Their spiked shells repel direct physical attackers and provide solid protection, though they are not immune to fire. They dwell in the clouds of lakitus, curled into a ball and emerging when thrown. While they do have a symbiotic relationship with lakitus, some spinies wander away from lakitu spots and form packs of their own. Spinies are not simple beasts despite their animalistic looks, as they are still a type of koopa. Some of them have joined Bowser's Minions, often along with the lakitus that throw them, and are used as aerial bombardment. |
