Spiked Chain Master

Prerequisites: Dexterity 13 or higher
You have mastered the fearsome spiked chain techniques of the Shadar-Kai Shadow Dancers and improved on your skills. With a bonus action You may choose to take the following forms:

  • Offensive form: When you hit a creature with the spiked chain, you do a additional 1d4 piercing damage
  • Defensive form: You gain 1 AC to your total armor.

Additionally, when you hit a creature with the spiked chain, you may force the target to make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 10 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity Modifier) or suffer one additional effect of your choice:

  • The target is restrained(escape DC = 10 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity or strength Modifier) if it is a Medium or smaller creature. Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained, and you can’t grapple another target.
  • The target is knocked prone, and takes 1d10 fall damage.
  • There is additional damage done on the attack equal to the original damage dice as piercing damage. This extra damage increases to twice the damage dice when you reach 5th level, thrice at 11th level, and four times at 17th level.

When you take an attack action, you can make another attack action as a bonus action when wielding a spiked chain, but you must attack with the same weapon to use this. When you get a critical hit, you can choose an effect twice, and the enemy does not get a save, both just automatically take effect.
