Spell Ring (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Ring, Uncommon (minor) (requires attunement) This graphite ring was created as an impromptu spellbook, allowing spells to be quickly etched into it or erased by new growth without the expense of a true spellbook. However, the classical spell writing method exists for a reason... Inscribe. At the end of a long rest while attuned to the ring, you may inscribe up to 3 spells inside the ring that you know. When you cast a spell inscribed by the ring, you may cast it for 1 lower spell slot. If a 1st level spell, it can be cast as a cantrip. Erase. As a bonus action, you may erase a spell inscribed inside the ring, causing the stored magic to explode. Any creature in a 10 ft. radius of the ring must attempt a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 1d12 force damage. Self Destruct As an action, you may erase all spells inscribed inside the ring. Any creature in a 30 ft. radius of the ring must attempt a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 5d12 force damage. On a success, they take half as much damage. After using this property, the ring is unusable for 1d12 days. |
