Soul Reaper's Dagger (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (dagger), very rare (major tier) (requires attunement by a creature with a Wisdom of 13 or higher, and of lawful evil alignment) The soul reaper's dagger appears to be a black blade with black leather. It is said it will suck the souls of its victims. This weapon deals an additional 2d6 necrotic damage on a successful hit, and as a bonus action, you may gain temporary hit points equal to the additional necrotic damage dealt with this attack. Soul Storage. When you reduce a CR 1 or higher creature to 0 hit points with this dagger, you may add their soul to the well of souls in the dagger. The maximum number of souls the dagger can contain is 10. When you hit a target with this dagger, you can expend one or more souls to add an additional 1d6 necrotic to the attack for each soul expended. During a short rest, you may expend two souls to regain 2d12 hit points. The souls of creatures you kill remain within the dagger until they are used, and they cannot know rest and will be continuously tormented as long as they remain in the dagger. If the dagger is broken, the souls are freed to rest in peace. Curse of Binding. Once attuned to this weapon, it will remain attuned to you until you are targeted by the remove curse spell or better. In addition, if you were to die while attuned to the dagger, your soul is sucked into it. |
