Sorcerous Slinger (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Sorcerous Slinger
Prerequisites: Proficiency with Slings, ability to cast at least one spell
Not content to fill your sling’s pouch with normal rocks anymore, you’ve picked up some magical tricks to make your shepherd’s shooter pack more of a bang.
- Learn the Magic Stone cantrip. You spellcasting modifier may be Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma.
- Magic Stone may imbue up to 6 pebbles per cast and the duration is increased to 1 hour.
- When you cast Magic Stone, choose Acid, Cold, Fire, Force, Lightning, Necrotic, Radiant, or Thunder damage. The imbued stones deal 1d8+ your spellcasting modifier of that damage type on hit. This is added to a sling’s damage if hurled from one.
- If you land a critical strike with a sling using a Magic Stone as ammunition, the projectile explodes and deals 1d6 of the damage type you chose to all enemies within 10ft of the target.
- Using a Magic Stone as ammunition increases a sling’s normal range to 60ft.
- You may cast Magic Stone as a spell. If done so, it imbues 6 additional pebbles per spell slot level.
