Skaven Abomination (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Skaven Abomination[edit]
Huge monstrosity (skaven), unaligned Armor Class 19 (natural armor)
Skills Perception +6, Survival +6 Charge. If the skaven moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 10 (3d6) damage. Inner Swarm. When the skaven is reduced to 0 hit points, 3d10 swarms of rats burst from its body and attack the nearest non-skaven creatures. XP from the swarms is cumulative with that of the skaven. Lightning Absorption. When the abomination is subjected to lightning damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the lightning damage dealt. Regeneration. The skaven regains 20 hit points at the start of its turn. If the abomination takes fire damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of its next turn. The skaven dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate. ACTIONSMultiattack The skaven makes four attacks: two with its claws, one with its tail, and one with its bite. Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 40 (6d10 + 7) slashing damage. Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (4d12 + 7) bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or be knocked up to 30 feet away and prone. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (4d6 + 7) piercing damage. Bile Spray (Recharge 4-6). The skaven vomits stomach acid in either a line that is 60 feet long and 5 feet wide or a 30-foot cone. Each creature in this area must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The skaven abominations are some of the most horrific creatures ever seen in the material realm. They are great, heaving masses of mutated flesh and stitched limbs brought to life by the power of warpstone and the insanity of Clan Moulder's flesh-shapers. Each abomination requires the parts of a dozen rat-ogres and a score of skaven "volunteers", with the result being a massive, resilient monster with immense strength an eternal hunger for fresh meat. Skaven warlords will pay handsomely for these creatures, and so it is that the abominations spread to all the Skaven Clans. |
